Usage tip: For a more harmonious appearance in the garden, the natural ageing process of the Corten steel can be accelerated by lightly misting the surface with a mild saltwater solution or an organic rust accelerator.

Important to note:

• Unpack the product immediately upon receipt to prevent moisture from collecting between the packaging and the product, as this may cause stains that are difficult to remove.
• During the first few months of the rusting process, rainwater runoff may leave marks on delicate surfaces, so a protective underlay is recommended.
• Always use an additional chopping board as an intermediate layer to protect the bamboo worktop, as it is not intended for direct food preparation.
• Use of Corten steel within a 2 km radius of the coast is not recommended.
• Rust can be treated with Owatrol, a penetrating rust inhibitor that forms a protective layer and helps prevent staining.
• Clean the product annually by rinsing off coarse dirt with tap water.
