Important note:

• The product should be unpacked immediately upon receipt to prevent moisture from accumulating between the packaging and the product – this can cause irregular rust stains.
• The product is supplied without a rust layer. The rusting process on Corten steel takes around 4–5 months, depending on weather conditions. A rust accelerator can speed up the rusting process.
• Rust can be removed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating rust inhibitor that forms a protective layer against rusting through. Owatrol protects the material and prevents it from staining.
• During the rusting process, rust-coloured runoff may occur, which can leave permanent stains on light-coloured patio slabs.
• The warranty will be void if the product is drilled or sanded in a manner not recommended by the manufacturer.
• The use of Corten steel within 2 km of the coast is not recommended.
• Always place the timber rack on a level, stable surface.
• Use the wall fixings to ensure the stability of the timber storage unit.
• Clean the product annually by hosing off coarse dirt with tap water.
